The beauty of the Shanti Mantra lies in its simplicity of message, “May all beings be happy and healthy.” It is also referred to as a mantra for peace (shanti).

Om sarveshaam swastir bhavatu
Sarveshaam shantir bhavatu 

Auspiciousness (swasti) be unto all;
Peace (shanti) be unto all;

Sarveshaam poornam bhavatu
Sarveshaam mangalam bhavatu

Fullness (poornam) be unto all;
Prosperity (mangalam) be unto all.

Sarve bhavantu sukhinah
Sarve santu niraamayaah

May all be happy! (sukhinah)
May all be free from disabilities! (niraamayaah)

Sarve bhadraani pashyantu
Maakaschit duhkha bhaag bhavet

May all look (pashyantu)to the good of others!
May none suffer from sorrow! (duhkha)
